Cotton Tree
At the mouth of the Maroochy River sits the charming seaside village Cotton Tree. With the outstanding Cotton Tree and Pincushion caravan and camping grounds, golden beaches and sandy riverside. Cotton Tree offers holiday-makers a magical experience of seaside Australia.
The centre of town is blessed with seaside shops and eateries, bowling club, library and markets in King St from 7am to 1pm every Sunday. A short walk away the 21st century thunders on at breakneck pace in shopping malls and on the highway.
The Maroochy River Conservation Park waits across a short stretch of calm water and offers the more adventurous an experience of the river mouth as she was.
When SunWeb visited the beach seemed to have sprung a giant leak and the ocean was pouring out! An excavator seemed to be trying to plug the leak - to no avail.
